Girl with One Eye and Red Bow
Oil on Canvas
12 x 9 in
1969

She is the girl
that we often see
walking with the grace
of a swan on a lake
the envy of all others
when she is seen from the left
with her fancy collar
and her silk red bow
but there is a lesson to be learned
when looking at a pretty girl
sometimes it is best
to inspect all of her face
because from the right
she is blind of that eye
and clearly cannot see
her own pretty red lace.
